The Open Forum on Saturday afternoon was followed by Vespers and Benediction, at which Archbishop Guido Pozzo, Secretary of the Pontifical Council Ecclesia Dei, presided, and Dario, Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos, attended. Matthew Schellhorn excelled himself in the music for this, with Magnificat septimi toni by Viadana; a world premier, in a piece by the young composer Thomas Neal, Tantum ergo, and Ave verum corpus by Byrd.

Archbishop Pozzo joined delegates and others for dinner.

On Monday morning, we had the final liturgy of our stay in Rome: a High Mass, the feria, with green vestments kindly lent by Fr Joseph Kramer FSSP of Sta Trinita dei Pellegrini, the Church of St Peter Chanel at the Domus Australia.

Mass was celebrated by Fr Thomas Crean OP, with Fr Gabriel Diaz as deacon and Fr Andrew Southwell, a former National Chaplain of the Latin Mass Society, as subdeacon.

As with the earlier liturgies in the Domus Australia, the Master of Ceremonies was the very competant Eamon Gaines, of the Latin Mass Society Ireland, with various delegates and pilgrims serving.

Cantus Magnus, under Matthew Schellhorn, accompanied the Mass with Missa ‘Puisque j’ay perdu’ by Orlando di Lasso.
