It was also proposed that the letter be written in Latin.</p> <p>A letter was prepared which conveyed the grateful thanks of the members of the Federation and expressed our steadfast loyalty to our Holy Father. Mr Darroch entrusted the letter to the care of His Eminence Dario Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos to ensure it was delivered into the hands of Pope Benedict. A reply has now been received from the Secretariat of State and Pope Benedict exhorts us to carry on with our laudable goals toward preserving the venerable traditions of the Church and imparts on us the Apostolic Benediction. I have been informed that I may publish the letter and the full text is shown below.
